Thread: Moderation on Buypoe

lolololol. Deleting posts for no reason. You don't know the half of it. It's called censorship.

I usually screenshot every post from now to archive as half of them get deleted.

The posts deleted in http://buypoe.com/buypoe-com-news/16...ut-krivol.html contribute nothing at all to the conversation, its just needless spam. If you would like I can send you them or show you them. I cannot speak for any other member of the mod team in regards to censorship, but I can assure you that when posts or threads are deleted or edited my motives are not to smother peoples opinions I am just trying to enforce the rules of the site and I try my best to only remove the bits and pieces that encroach on our rules. If you feel unjust decisions are being made at any time, feel free to contact me and I will do my best to fix it.

We only delete posts by dramaqueens or posts that tend to make bp members hate each other. We welcome all other posts. If your here troll our fellow members, be gone, as we don't want you.

Deleting posts is not censorship. Its' moderation, all sites do it in one manner or another. If your posts have been deleted, its means your post is


Stage 1
1. Starts fights on BuyPoe.com
2. Is a worthless post. Aka spam, advertisements, etc.
3. Is trying to start drama

If your post fits in stage 1 you are one or more of the following:
1. A dramaqueen
2. A spammer
3. A douche
4. An advertiser

This is how we moderate, as do most sites. Hopefully everyone can not be a stage 1, and we'll all get along. If not, we're not forcing you to use buypoe...I think these are reasonable requests that are easy to abide by. If you have a direct issue with someone, discuss it with them on skype, please take that off discussion.

So when you edited LPS's post to exclude all mentionings of "The other website" he moved to, that was because it cause drama?

We do not allow free advertising, period.

If someone wants to advertise, please contact me or the bp team in private. If you have any other questions, feel free to discuss this with me on skype and I'll talk to you about it.

There are also special cases, where a member will ask if he can advertise his site, and we will decide based on his request, based on what the site is about, and how he behaves on BP.

When big drama threads get created, they tend to make everyone hate each other, almost like a split down the site. I've noticed when I put a stop to the drama threads before they start, it prevents all that tension from building up. I don't mind taking a little heat for deleting a few posts to save friendships. Most of the drama threads are created by about 3-4 people.
