Thread: Suggestion: Who's going first?

Not the best idea. Members who trade with each other have every right to go first or second. I, personally, would charge a small fee for MMing, which makes members who want to trade not want to use a MM.

An official MM rank would be great, but trading in itself should always be up to the parties involved. We make it clear that anybody can scam you. We also make it clear what variables determine how much you should trust someone, such as vouches, rank, etc.

To clarify, I don't mean every trade requires a MM, but that they can't post "im not going first"

Personally I dont think handing out the ability to make someone else go first will fix anything, it will just make it easier to scam newer users and in a lot of cases allow the user to get away with it. Even if it is only being handed out to trusted people you cant be guaranteed a scam wont occur.

Let's just keep trading simple. Everything is up to the parties involved. We just provide MMs, information, vouch areas, etc. That way the users can decide for themselves.

Yeah exactly, in addition it could just completely turn new people off from selling poe if they can't make the decision weather or not they go first and that they will have to put full trust immediately in someone you don't know. Plus its just a bad idea to force more terms on newbies to benefit those who have been here longer.
