I think a good idea would be to allow Mods+ to have an image (UI) to represent their name with a logo tag which states their name. It could distinguish higher ranked people a lot more easily.

Yeah, that would be an example of one. Generally, though, they have transparent backgrounds, thus matching any theme, and not sticking out like a sore thumb.

The chat one I can do without, I have caught plenty of rotten eggs from people messaging me not realizing I am a GM.
If you cannot add me to MSN, or if I am not online sending me a PM or a vistor message is the best way to get an answer from me, or we can try to set up an MSN meeting, or talk on skype etc etc.
