Try some touch typing methods, we had a whooollleee term of it back in early primary school..

Do a lot of foruming, thats how I learned. My mother forced me into trying a few typing programs (all of which were terrible) but I never learned anything.

well typingtest.com helped me and now i type about 80-90 words a minute with few mistakes but these guys are right. It takes a lot of practice to get right. Also another tip is to not do the same few tests over and over again because it turns into memorization and you will only be able to type those sequence of words quick. My tip on typing would be to remain focused on the screen. (if you look at your keys while typing, you will never inprove over the 30-40 words a minute your typing.) buy a keyboard cover if you cant avoid looking at the keys (i know its hard and takes a lot of self control at first but you will be happy). Next determine how much your endurance is. If you can type fast but wear your self out after 3 minutes and start slowing down, do 3 minute tests until you feel that you can pull off 5 straight minutes of typing. Dont worry about mistakes as they are natural, but try not to just rush through it. (i can type 300 words a minute with a 4% accuracy but that doesnt mean i do it.) anything more i can help you with just pm me. Love to type just because everyone hates it while learning.
