I posted here just because I needed a f- vent!
my Parents have a strict "No dating until your out of the house" (*)(*) policy
but I am COMPLETELY fine with this, seeing I know that I can not provide for a family(No job), and that I am not meantally ready for a real relationship!
but this is to fucking much!
a Few months back we moved a met a few people would we became great friends with, both female. These people(really their parents) invited us to LIVE WITH THEM, for a few months while we find a place of our own.... a few months ago by, i'd like to mention I wasn't 'hitting' on either of the girls for the entire time, nor am I now, and we found our own place and moved in....
Anyhow, both my and their parents are 'consernd' about how much we text( i just got my phone back the day before yesterday, had to buy a new charger, hence major texting for a few days), so are limiting our texting/IM/facebooking to MINUTES a day.....
we are just friends(without 'benefits'), hanging out, joking around, having a good time....
if anyone has any ideas that I can use for my/their parents, that are polite, to counteract this extremely idiotic 'rule' they made...please do post below...
again, I do realize this is 'spam' and not anything to do with games or news articles, but I needed to vent, and possibly get advice....

my mother is CURRENTLY reading through the texts(wishing I didn't call her a jerk so many times now :P(Also, if I am not online for a few days/week, my computer was probably password locked by my mom :P)), and their mother plans to in the morning....but they've done this all before(the reading the texts) and at that point I fried my phone and this stopped being much of an issue...

I was in the same situation a few years ago. Just get a job and they will most deffinately bugger off, and you can say your going to work, and go party and all.hope that helps.
that would SO work, if I wasn't 16, lived within 25 minutes of any place to work, had a drivers lenience, and again, I don't have any feelings to date either one of them...

Just show your parents the texts. My parents sometimes ask to see my texts. I don't mind it at all. I have nothing to hide.
she read through all my texts(didn't like the ones about her....) but it didn't help anything, are text limit is now 15 a day(lmao, insane right?) - from the 200-300 a day i was doing before...

I don't see how not being able to provide for a family affects dating. Just don't get the girl prego and you'll be fine. Lol
Your parents seem likes dicks to me. Personally, I wouldn't stand for it (then again, I have a full-time job and pay all my own bills, including rent every month to my parents)

Seriously though nobody is ever fully ready for marriage and you'll never know if you are even somewhat ready for marriage until you start to date.
If they read the texts and saw nothing was even somewhat up with you two and they still don't approve, you're pretty much fucked
