    The Declaration of Rsbuddy

So, as you may of heard already RSBuddy has ended their botting career. They've decided not to release another client to the public. They believe that botting is ruining the game as a whole, and are respecting Jagex as a whole by not doing so.

Heres a interview with the main developers of RSBuddy:

They say that this is the end of botting in Runescape, and that there will never be a full recovery of them in the near future.

I believe most of the script coders for RSBuddy will change over to another bot, such as Powerbot. Powerbot says they've been working on a new client, so lets hope for its release in the next few weeks!

The fact that the owner of RSbuddy is thinking of working for JaGex is what makes me mad. He pretty much got bought by JaGex. Meaning he's spreading his ass to be fucked.

I am actually glad that Jacmob wants to work for Jagex, he is a very talented scripter and if he combats bots, then Runescape could go back to its former glory

Big hugs and credit to Shady for my avatar!

Not possible. There's a reason why RS is losing it's popularity. RS was a revolutionary game a few years ago. It was one of those few games you could play and never get bored. Why? Because when you compared it to your dinky PS2 arcade games, you realized you spent 200 hours on RS and 15 hours on the PS2 game.

Now what? Now I have a PS3 with MMOFPSs that almost seem real. I have multiple games I can connect to my friends with. RS doesn't compare because of a simple lack of updates.

There is no possible way for RS to make a recovery based on their current schedule. It's becoming a more inferior game by the day.

So true wastedbro. I believe in that unless the do a huge graphic overhaul, it will start losing players. Especially since over half of the dedicated players used bots.

It's not even the graphics. It has a lot do with gameplay also. The game seems very controlled. The NPCs feel like computers that are simply annoying to deal with. The quests feel pointless. The game is 90% grind, which is so pointless. I'm not working 60 hours so I can have some decent armor.

Dedicated players tend to not use bots, them being dedicated and all.

Depends on how dedicated. I know legit players that would love the idea of getting 30 levels without grinding. In fact, most would. I'd say it's natural to a normal person to like the idea of that.

Most players who didn't use bots were unaware of them, their abilities, and ease of use. And there are, of course, also a lot of players who are anti-botters, but they aren't the average player.

Dedicated in a way that they wouldn't want to see the game they're playing fall to pieces
