Level Herblore & Magic While Earning Money:
High Alching Attack Potion (3)
(For requirements check below)
I stumbled across this profitable leveling method when looking at my favorite profit alching resource, Runescape High Alchemy Calculator . This method can earn about 20 GP profit per cast (this means at 1,000 casts per hour you earn 20,000 GP profit). I'd advise this method to all members that'd like to level their magic and herblore at the same time.
Requirements:
- Must have complete Druidic Ritual Quest
- Must have level 55 magic
Stage 1:
Obtaining Materials
Grimy Guam Leaf
153 GP
OR
Clean Guam Leaf
164 GP
OR
Guam Potion (unf)
264 GP
-----
Eye of Newt
45 GP
-----
Vial
24 GP
OR
Vial of Water
41 GP
Stage 2:
Herblore
Vial+ Water Source = Vial of Water
Grimy Guam Leaf+ Left Click = Clean Guam Leaf
(2.5 herblore xp)
Vial of Water+ Clean Guam Leaf
Guam potion (unf)+ Eye of Newt
= Attack potion (3)
(25 herblore xp)
Each potion if you use the green color coded ingredients from stage one will provide you with 27.5 xp (not much but it adds up).
Stage 3:
Magic
This stage is just using high alchemy on the note form of all your finished attack potion (3)
1. Grimy Guam Leaf + Eye of Newt + Vial = 222 GP spent
2. Grimy Guam Leaf + Eye of Newt + Vial of Water = 239 GP spent
3. Clean Guam + Eye of Newt + Vial = 233
4. Clean Guam + Eye of Newt + Vial of Water = 250
5. Guam Potion (unf) + Eye of Newt = 309
6. Attack Potion (3) = 203
Nature Rune Value: 94 to 100 GP
Attack potion (3) Alching Value: 336
Profit for option 1: 14 to 20 GP
Profit for option 2: -3 to 3 GP
Profit for option 3: 3 to 9 GP
Profit for option 4: -14 to -8 GP
Profit for option 5: -73 to -67 GP
Profit for option 6: 33 to 39 GP
This is assuming you are using a staff of fire or another item of similar abilities.

If you cannot add me to MSN, or if I am not online sending me a PM or a vistor message is the best way to get an answer from me, or we can try to set up an MSN meeting, or talk on skype etc etc.
It's transforming an item into a set amount of gold (if that value is set at 1000 and the Grand Exchange the item is valued at 2000 then if you alch it you lose a little more than 1000 gold due to runes, but if the value decreases to 500 gold you earn a little less than 500 gold again due to runes). This was difficult to exploit until the grand exchange came around and you could drop the value of an item by flooding the market.
