This guide will cover how to make a strength pure in runescape. It will be written for F2P's. Though it will include training spots for members (I became a member just because it was quicker training).

Pure? What you talkin' bout Willis?

A pure is an account that is usually used for Player Killing. They are focused on offensive skills, such as range, strength, or mage. Usually pure's don't level up there defense, so as they don't level up as much, and can hit higher for there level.

Why make a strength pure?

Strength pure's are quite effective and are cheap, strength doesn't cost that much to level up compared to mage/range. They're also quite easy to level up with.

Why shouldn't I get prayer up?

The reason you shouldn't level prayer is going to be explained in this part of the tutorial.

So we'll be using 70 strength as an example.

If you had a pure with 40-70-1. Your combat level would be 51, and your maximum hit would be 172.
If you had a pure with 40-70-1-31(Prayer). Your combat level would be 54, and your maximum hit would be 194.
But You could have gotten 12 strength levels instead of prayer levels, to get to combat level 54. Not only will it help you keep your combat level down, it also gives a bit of a higher hit; 197, and this is permanent, and unlike prayer, doesn't go away.

Levelling

  • Attack: </= 40. On par with strength level, until 40.
  • Strength: </= 99. On par with attack level, until attack gets to 40. Then continue with strength..
  • Defence: 1. Don't Level Defence.
  • Range, Mage, Prayer: 1. Range and mage are self-explanatory. Prayer has been explained already.

Equipment

  • Armour: Full Iron > Bronze > Nothing
  • Cape: Team Cape > Cape > Nothing
  • Gloves & Boots: Leather > None
  • Food: Salmon > Trout > Tuna
  • Weapon (Scimitar): Rune > Adamant > Mith- You get what I'm saying.
  • Amulet: Amulet of Strength > Nothing

Choosing a name.

Try choosing something cool. Don't include str, or pure in it. And don't use l33tsp34k in it. You just look like a loser if you do.

Training

Levels 1-10

Cows

Cows get you 32/34 experience and drop cowhides, there highest hit is 10, and the best way to kill them is by changing the language to Germany so that there isn’t many people online, and going to the Lumbridge spot. (Sadly, this way is not bot-able)

Levels 1-30

Option A: Minotaurs

Minotaurs can be found in the strong hold of security – first floor. They give 53 total of experience and drop iron arrows. There highest hit is 24.

Option B: Monks

Monks are a good place to train as you don’t need to bring food. There max hit is 10 and 60 exp when killed. Sadly they can only be found in the monastery and can get really crowded (But you can use the language change method).

Levels 30-50

P2P: Rock Crabs

It's time to go to "Pure's Heaven" the best place to train at these levels. This is because they have a low attack, strength, and defence. They hit a max of 10 and give 204 exp, and are super easy to kill. They can be found in relleka. They are aggressive for 10-25 minutes, and then you will have to run out of the area and back for them to be aggresive again. Sadly it can get crowded, but you can change the language.

F2P: Al Kharid Warriors

Monks are decent exp. There max hit is 30 and give 76 exp when killed. They can be found in the al kharid palace. If you attack them you'll be ganged on. Sadly it can get very busy, but you can always change the language.

Levels 50-99 (F2P)

Flesh Crawlers

This can be a long and boring task, but it’s easily the fastest way to level for pures. Fresh Crawlers have a max hit of 15, and give out 100 exp per kill. They don’t have any good drops though. Flesh Crawlers are also the best way to get 99 strength.

Levels 50-99 (P2P)

Experiments

Experiments are great exp for P2P Pures. They're max hit is 19 and hardly hit. They have 1000 health points and low defence, and are super duper easy to kill. They give 400 exp. These are the best things for 1 defence pures to train on.

Pking

Equipment

  • Food: Sword Fish (60+)>Lobster (30+)>Tuna (<30)
  • Weapon: Rune Scimitar (Main), Rune 2H (Finisher)
  • Armour: Full Iron
  • Extras: Amulet of strength, Strength potion, Team Cape (So you can one click attack people)

There isn't really a method to pking for str pures, whereas there is for range2h's or the likes. The best thing to do is to switch to your 2h when they're a bit low on hp.

General Pking Tips:

Don't safe, it's extremely annoying for other pkers, and all that will happen is you running out of food, and getting owned, or running back to safety. You should risk. I can't tell you whether or not to PJ, all I can tell you is that you will not be liked for it, but if that's not something you care about, go ahead. Have respect, say gf after you or your opponent dies, but if you like, talk a bit of crap (We all do it).
