Levels 1-3

Druidic Ritual



To start Herblore, you'll need to beat a quest known as Druidic Ritual. It's a fairly simple quest, but if you need any help their's always the runescape wiki page. Bewarned, if you seriously want to achieve 99 Herblore you'll have to spend upwards of 500m. This isn't a skillcape for the poor. xD


Levels 3-22

Attack Potions



Money Needed: 35,000 GP

Potion Quantity: 218

To make Attack Potions, fill your inventory with 9 vials of water, 9 clean guams and 9 Eye of Newts. Add the guam to the water, and then add the Eye of Newt to the unfinished potion to make an Attack Potion. You can bank these if you're in need of an attack boost or just sell them on the GE. You should be doing this at the GE so that you can bank for items and buy and sell things all in one place.


Levels 22-26

Restore Potions



Money Needed: 33,000 GP

Potion Quantity: 50

Use the same method as the Attack Potion, but this time use a clean Harralander instead of a Guam and Red Spider's Eggs instead of Eye of Newt. You'll only need 50 potions to get to 26 so this step shouldn't take long.


Levels 26-50

Energy Potions



Money Needed: 850,000 GP

Potion Quantity: 1,372

Here is where you're going to start to lose a bit of money. This potion also requires clean Harralander's, but this time instead of Red Spider Eggs we need to add Chocolate Dust. After 1,372 potions you should be Level 50.


Levels 50-69

Fishing Potions



Money Needed: 19,300,000 GP

Potion Quantity: 5,038

Time to lose some money. You'll need 5,0038 clean Avantoe's which alone costs over 18,000,000 GP. An additional 1,300,000 GP is required for Snape Grass. As per usual, mix them together in vials of water until you reach Level 69.


Levels 69-99

Antifire Potions



Money Needed: 555,000,000 GP

Potion Quantity: 78,517

Anti-fire Breath Potions (commonly known as Antifire Potions) are made by mixing clean Lantadyme's with dragon scale dust. You thought 50-99 was bad? Well, the Lantadyme's alone are going to cost you about 500m! Another 55m will go towards the dragon scale dust as well. Note that there are cheaper methods of getting 99 Herblore which I might cover in other guides, but this is definitely the fastest method.
