This guide is not only about leveling. Its also guide on how to make GP.
Smithing
Fast Way (300 Mill + Loss)
So you want to do this fast, eh? Well it's going to cost you a lot of money (But if you went for the money making way in mining, you'll have more than enough)
Levels 1-15:
Bronze Bars
Recommended Location(s): Alkharid.
Bars needed until level 15: 389
Cost: 15,560
Profit/Loss: +13,615
The only way to get 15 smithing is to smelt bronze bars. The quickest way to do this is buy 389 Tin and Copper ores from the GE. Since we're banking these, it's going to take around 14 trips to and from the bank. If you want to make a small amount of profit, than I recommend selling the bars at the GE.
- Once you reach level 15 smithing, you now have the ability to smelt iron bars. To get to level 15 it will take 389 bronze bars.
Levels 15-31
The Knight's Sword
The fastest way to get level 31 from 15 is to do the knight's sword quest. This will give you enough experience to get to level 31.
Once you reach level 20, you may now smelt silver bars. To get to level 20 from level 15, You can do the knight's sword quest.
Once you reach level 30 you may now smelt steel bars. To get to level 30 from level 15, you can do the knight's sword quest.

Cost: 1,335,600
Profit/Loss: -1297800
This is now the fastest way to hit level 48, though it costs a lot of money. The best place to do this is in Varrock. Since you're going to need 1,800 steel hatchets, it's going to take around 69 trips to the bank and back. If you want a small amount of your money back, sell the steel hatchets.
At level 40, you're now able to smelt gold bars.
Levels 48-70
Steel Platebodies
Recommended Location(s): Varrock
Platebodies needed until level 70: 3,492 (17460 Steel Bars)
Cost: 12,955,320

Profit/Loss: -83,172,832
The fastest way now is to smith adamant daggers. It will cost quite a lot of money, but hey, this is the fast way. Since we're banking, it's going to take around 1551 trips to the bank and back.

Profit: +29,175
this is the same as the quick way but instead of buying the ores, you mine them. once you mine 389 of each, you can now smelt them in alkharid. The mining spot may get a bit crowded, so change the language to anything other than english, as there are less people on.
Levels 15-31
The Knight's Sword
Again. The fastest way to get level 31 from 15 is to do the knight's sword quest. This will give you enough experience to get to level 31.

Adamant Bars needed until level 85: 67,226 (That's 67,226 Adamant, and 268,904 coal)

No offence but do you even have 99 smithing?
Why do mith plates to 99 when you can do addy plates?, why do addy daggers at all? Why even waste 1.3m getting 31-48 smithing? most people can get it for less than 100k and probally alot faster.
I did addy plates from 88-99 smithing with sc hammers and it only costed me 20m so why waste 137m on mith plates lol? :S
Because it's the fastest way, and yes I have gotten 99 smithing in the past. I don't care what way you did it, this is how I did it. as I said if you want it the fast way, it'll cost money, and if you want it the money making way, it'll be slow.
Btw, I think you misread the fact that this is F2P..
How can this be the fast way if your doing mithril plates? Just do addy plates for more xp and no way near as much loss.
Haha, I don't know, I'm sure there are some faster ways but this is how I did it.
99 smithing is an accomplishment no matter what way you do it, so congrats. good guide btw
