This guide will cover the fastest way to level, and the slower better money making ways for mining.

Pickaxe's (F2P)

• Bronze Pickaxe - The slowest pickaxe in f2p
• Iron Pickaxe - A bit more useful than Bronze
• Steel Pickaxe - Better than Iron
• Mithril Pickaxe - Better than Steel
• Adamant Pickaxe - Better than Mithril
• Rune Pickaxe - The fastest pickaxe in f2p

Fast Way

Levels 1-15

Copper and Tin ore



Recommended location: Lumbridge Swamp.

Ores needed until level 15: 138

So before we start, you're going to need some pickaxes. You can get a free bronze pickaxe from bob's axe shop in lumbridge, but for any other type of pickaxe, your best bet is to buy them at the Grand Exchange (GE from now on).

Now that you have some pickaxes equip your bronze or iron one. Your first destination is in the mines in lumbridge swamp, you can mine copper and tin ore there. Since this is the fastest way, you'll be "powermining" or "dropmining" (Dropping the ore instead of banking it. If this place gets to crowded, you can always just change your language in german (or any other language than english), as there isn't as many people online.

• When you reach level 6, you can use a steel pickaxe, I recommend this as it'll make things a bit faster.

Levels 15-99:

Iron Ore



Recommended location: East & West Varrock Mines.

Ores needed until level 99: 372,344

This is a long and boring task, but it's worth it, if you're looking to get to level 99 as fast as possible. It's the fastest experience in f2p and can gain you around 35,000 experience per hour. The fastest way to do this is powermine, and the best places for doing that is east/west Varrock.

• Once you reach level 21 mining you can use a mithril pickaxe, which takes 75 iron ores, or 2,603 exp to get (from level 15).
• Once you reach level 31 mining you can use an adamant pickaxe, which takes 281 iron ores, or 9,815 exp (from level 21).
• Once you reach level 31 mining you can use an adamant pickaxe, which takes 753 iron ores, or 26,338 exp (from level 31).
• Once you reach level 41 mining you can use an adamant pickaxe which takes 1,108, or 38,760 exp (from level 31).

At level 99 you will have mined a total of 372,344 iron ores, and 138 tin (and/or) copper ores, and will have gained 13,034,431. You will have potentially lost approximately 36,512,650 GP

Money Making

Levels 1-15

Recommended Location: East Varrock Mine.

Ores needed until level 15: 483

Money Gained: 15939

So before we start, you're going to need some pickaxes. You can get a free bronze pickaxe from bob's axe shop in lumbridge, but for any other type of pickaxe, your best bet is to buy them at the Grand Exchange (GE from now on).

Since this is the money making way, you'll be banking. If this place gets to crowded, you can always just change your language to german (or any other language than english), as there isn't as many people online. Since we are mining 483 it will be about 18 trips.

When you reach level 6, you can use a steel pickaxe, I recommend this as it'll make things a bit faster.

Level 15-31

Iron Ore



Recommended Locations: East & West Varrock Mines.

Ores needed until level 31: 355

Money Gained: 34790

It's now time to move to iron ore. The best way for a skiller to mine is at east or west varrock. Since this is the money making way we'll be banking. Since we need 355 ores, this will be around 13 trips to the bank and back. Yet again, if the mine gets to crowded, change your language to german (or any other language than english) as there is less people online.

• At level 21 you can use a mithril pickaxe, this takes 75 iron ores, or 2,607 exp (from level 15).
• At level 31 you can use an adamant pickaxe, this takes 281 iron ores, or 9,815 exp (from level 21).

Levels 31-99 (Skillers) Levels 31-41 (Non-Skillers)

Silver Ore



Recommended Location(s): East Varrock.

Gold ores needed until level 99/41: 325,490/659

Money Gained: 32,874,490/68536

Time to move on to silver ore, the best place for that is east varrock, and we will be banking these. Sadly as there is no safe places for skillers with any other ore, the best thing to do is mine here. This will be a long and boring task, but is worth it if you're a skiller and need a load of money. Since we'll be needing 325,490 ores it will take approximately 12,518 trips to the bank and back.

• At level 41 you may use a rune pickaxe, this will take 659 silver ores, or 26,338 exp (from level 31).

Levels 41-75

Gold Ore



Recommended Location(s):

Gold ores needed until level 75: 17,989

Money Gained: 3,867,635

If you're not a skiller you should be mining gold ore now. The best locations for this is either the dwarven mines, or Alkharid mines. As you gain levels mining gold ore will be easier and easier. We will be banking is this is the money making way. Since you need a total of 17,989 gold ores to hit level 75, it will take you about 666 trips to the bank and back. If it's to crowded, remember you can always switch to another language, as there is less people on.

Level 75-85

Adamantite Ore



Recommended Location(s): Dwarven Mines.

Adamantite ores needed until level 85: 21,560

Money Gained: 17,097,080

At level 75 mining, adamantite ores are the best option for money. The best place to mine this is in the dwarven mines. Instead of waiting for the ores to respawn, you can switch worlds. This can get quite competitive so I recommend changing your language to any thing other than english, as there are less people. Since it will take 21,560 ores to get to level 85, it will take around 798 trips to get to level 85.

Levels 85-99

Runite Ore



Recommended Location: Wilderness Runite Mine.

Rune ores until level 99: 78,207

Money Gained: 844,635,600



This is extremely dangerous and is in level 46 wilderness. Instead of waiting for the ore to respawn, switch worlds. If the mining spot gets to crowded, change your language to any other than english, as there are less people online. If you dislike runite mining, I recommend mining gold or adamantite ore.
