I usually run Citadel Runs on a Sloop, I am also on your ocean. I am getting quite some rep for it. If you get 80 chests you'll do fine. Also job elite, but since your small it goes fast.
Does anyone know how to run a Citadel Run, effectivly? Any tips/advices i could use? Since i'm going to run one soon and i need some help with it comes to advoiding/fighting monsters.
Just in case you need to know i'm on Virid and navigating a Junk

Just run away, Citadel Runs are literally one of the easiest skilloe things you can do. If you're really scared hang out in the zone with the occasional scout trike that you can run away from then just get in get out
Take a Xebec and job Ren+ SF and Ren+ station. Camp the boundaries and kill trikes until a cit spawns, then try to avoid trikes getting to it. If trikes surround you on the boundary, go to the safe zone. It should be in reach.
Just want to point out, from what my friend says and who also runs large cit runs, If you have 50 ish% damage and have the choice to enter a cit, get the damage down first :]. Also WBs and mainly Xebecs are the way to go, you can do more and take a bit more damage, and go for deeper cits safely.
When I don't take a sloop, I take either an Xebec or a War Brig like Sharpie said. I guess I like the mobility of smaller ships though. If you are looking for a quick profit go in a sloop, then when full port divide and go right back.
Speaking of naving, my friend I mentioned earlier is letting me Kade nav when it returns (flag sitting on small ships while the better navers are using WF and WBs), still a fun thing to try I guess
A WB and a Junk take the same amount of damage. That's why Junk citadels are really useful. Carpentry doesnt matter as much as sparkles usage.
It's important to decoy monsters away from cits before entering, e.g stay 2-3 turns on the other side of the board so monsters come for you before heading to the actual cit.
I like sloop CITs the best, and if you go in fast and out fast on them you dont neeed to worry about being sunk
