What do you mean by it won't let you create an account? is the hard drive full?

I'm not sure... I would assume not.

Could it also be that its cables got moved or the hdd or something inside the xbox and got no contact if you get what I mean?

I recently had to open up my xbox to put a new Disk drive in , its very unlikely it has no contact ( you can check the socket where it fits) but other that that , it fits straight onto the motherboard.

if you can get to the memory tab on the xbox dash try clearing the cache, it may help i dont know or just see if its rammed full with stuff.

other than that it could be damaged take it back.
