Thread: Top 10 Upcoming Games

With every year comes a load of amazing new games that everybody is just waiting to get their hands on. For 2011 we had: MW3, BF3, SR3, UC3, GOW3 ... and Skiyrim. Last year was one of the best gaming years as all of those games were released. Now it's time for 2012 to bring us some awesome new games.


10.SSX

SSX is the original snowboarding game. At least 75% of us has probably played the other installments especially the most popular, SSX Tricky. SSX Tricky was probably the best snowboarding game of its time on PS3. Now EA decided to make another for Xbox and PS3. In this new game the developers are actually using real mountains rather than the fictional ones used in Tricky. Some old characters are making a return and we will be seeing some new characters also.

9.Inversion

Inversion is a first of its kind shooter bringing a new, but yet unknown element to the game. The game will be a third person shooter with a destructible environment. The unknown element in the game is said to be the manipulation in gravity but it is not yet confirmed. Looking forward to trying out this game, should be good due to the new twist.

8.Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2

Ghost Warrior 2 is the sequel to Ghost Warrior. Not too much is known about the game except that it will have a lot of the same features as the first game and the graphics and AI will be greatly improved in the sequel. The first game was pretty good this one should be too.

7.Twisted Metal

Another original game that most of us have played in the older gaming days.This vehicle combat game, Twisted Metal finally has an installment of their series on a more modern console. The game will stick to the normal tournament plot as the others in the series. Each character that you may play as has three alternate endings when the game is beaten.

6.Max Payne 3

Yet again, another original game. This time not a driving game or snowboarding, a third person shooter. Rockstar games is at it again, they are taking over of the development of the game rather than the original developers, Remedy Entertainment. The game's plot will be played as new chapter in the character, Max Payne's life.

5.Borderlands 2

You know where this is going by now, the second installment of Borderlands is due to be a hit. After Borderlands received a lot of attention from the gaming community Gearbox decided to make a sequel. Borderlands 2 will be like the first, a first person shooter role playing game..or FPSRPG or just a role playing shooter. The game takes place 5 years after the first.

4.Far Cry 3

After the prequel to the first person shooter, Far Cry 2 was such a hit, Ubisoft was inspired to make yet again another Far Cry. This time, Far Cry will take place somewhere in the Asian oceans. The plot is slightly different. Your goal is to escape from the multiple islands and the crazy inhabitants on those islands.

3.Bioshock Infinite

Bioshock Infinite is the third installment in the Bioshock series. Like the others Bioshock Infinite will be a first person shooter. This installment will not be related to either of the two previous games. The game takes place in an earlier time period, 1912 in an air city in Columbia. The player will play as an agent from Pinkerton.

2.GTA V

The oh so popular game is releasing the FIFTEENTH game in the GTA series, yeah that many. Although GTA V will only be the first major title released since GTA IV. This installment will take place in the favored San Andreas region of California. Not too much is known about the plot other than the fact that the character you are playing is a family guy.

And finally for number 1, the game everyone has been waiting fooooorrr:

1.Mass Effect 3

Mass Effect 3 will be the third installment in the Mass Effect series. The game is an action role playing game developed by Bioware. Finally you will be able to set foot on Earth in ME3. You will also be able to visit other home worlds like, the Asari's, the Quarian's, the Turian's,the Krogan's and the Salarian's. You will be able to import data from ME and ME2 like in ME2. Decisions you made from the prior games will influence the way ME3 turns out. Anyway, really looking forward to this game it's going to be amazing.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier

This game also looks great, it nearly missed making the list but I will be buying this game. The game should be fun, and especially fun if you have Kinect, so Kinect users look out for this game!
