Red face Xbox 360 Dashboard Update - December 6th

Microsoft have announced that the release of their brand new Dashboard format, will be rolled out worldwide, on December 6th. This update is Free for all Xbox 360 Console owners.

Some of you may have been involved in the Xbox LIVE Preview Program and have been busy getting an early look at the next Xbox 360 and Xbox LIVE features, for those who haven't been so lucky to join the program, here's some of the features Microsoft is adding:
    • New personal and social features including Cloud Storage for Game Saves and LIVE Profile
    • Beacons and Facebook Sharing
    • Enhanced Family Settings
    • Integrated voice and gesture controls across the dashboard and in apps
    • Bing voice search (Available this year in the US, UK and CA)

In addition to all these great dashboard features, starting on December 6th and continuing on an ongoing basis through the holiday months, a wealth of new content will be coming to Xbox 360. New, customized applications for television, movies, internet videos, sports and music will begin rolling out from world-leading providers in more than 20 countries.

Lets look at a few of these features in a little more detail.

New personal and social features including Cloud Storage for Game Saves and LIVE Profile
This is a great idea, and for those who think it isn't, I'm sure you have your reasons, but personally, I think it is long overdue. I have gone through 3 Xbox's, and am on my 4th at the moment, and it has happened to me nearly every time that I forget to keep the hard drive, or with the new one, don't remove the internal memory, and I end up losing all of my save games. This can be so frustrating, and to be honest, can all be avoided with Could Storage.

Integrated voice and gesture controls across the dashboard and in apps
I'm sure this feature is great, and as it may be, I'm sure it saves time and all that, but I don't see why people would tell an Xbox to run a certain game, or go to the Marketplace, when it would probably be just as quick, or quicker to use the controller they have in their hand already, shouldn't it?

Anyway there is 2 features I agree and disagree with, leave a comment below, what do you think of the updates?

At the moment, my source inside xbox is saying at the moment, they are not planning to include themes in the initial release, however the release is being finalized on the 2nd of Dec.
