I like the one you have now better. Your new one is just a little too bland.
I was trying to go for a simple look for it :S I personally don't like making avatars too complex...mainly because 150 x 150 is to small for me to work on >.< the bigger the canvas the more my OCD/ADD mind can work and I get better results, i'll post a desktop background I did awhile back later
