    Question Graphics Questions? Ask Here.

So, I've created this thread for people who want to ask me anything graphics related, I'll do my best to answer any questions you have, and I'll also CnC any work which you post on here (maximum of 1 image/person/day) with any suggestions what I think you may be able to do better.

Bear in mind that this thread is between me and the person asking the question(s), please don't answer a question for me, or CnC a piece on this thread, or you'll receive an instant infraction.

The only stupid question is the one not asked.

How do you create such epic glow lines, like the one in your Kanye west posterisation tutorial.

Big hugs and credit to Shady for my avatar!

Have you always been using Photoshop and would you recommend it to people that are just starting graphic designing?

    Around 5-6 years now.

Photoshop CS4 is my favourite, but I prefer CS5 for the content aware tool.

Copy the imag eonto another layer, blur the top image slightly (3-4px) and then apply the "Darken" filter to the full layer.
Then simply add a new layer, add some white brush marks where you want it brightening, then apply the "Overlay" filterand reduce the opacity to your desired brightness.

Strangely, I started out using Paint.NET, which is a lot simpler than photoshop, that's why I liked it, but now I've gone to Ps, i'll never go back to Paint.NET, it's far too simplified for my needs. So, I'd recommend starting out with something simple like Paint.NET or GIMP, then move onto photoshop when you're a little more familiar.

I'd love it if you could give me a TV session on photoshop, so I could learn my way round, is that possible?

Hey GodPoker! I've heard you're very good at graphics, and I have a (rather) strange question for you - but it is 100% serious and not meant to be funny or anything. The question is...

When you are creating graphics on Photoshop, what tool do you think you use the most (for example, the 'Colourize' tool or the 'Magic Wand' tool)?

    I'm just a bit curious.

Sorry for the ridiculously late reply, not been on here much lately.

I guess the most used tool for me would have to be the Hue/Saturation scales (Ctrl+U) or the Gradient Map tool in adjustments.
