Did I read that right? You have big fairly large software companies working on this?

Lol bnav bot. Unless your coders can create godly self thinking AIs dont get your hopes up

It is def possible for the fact they only have a limited amount of possible moves, however it is going to take longer then two months to create and is going to be very price heavy for you davee.

Agreeing with Sobo on this one.

I saw an estimate of how many different places you can move on an average turn.. It was well into the thousands. To make that many calculations efficiently within half a minute would be extremely difficult to code, and it would consume so much CPU power.

It's achievable, but it's not particularly cost/time effective. You could probably make 3 or 4 bots in the time you make bnav.

So you have a solution to the damn near impossible? Because they are chinese they will find a way to code a bot that will take years to make, need to be ran on a super computer, along with really only work against NPCs work on the adv household computer in a matter of two months?

Let me know how that works out for you.

Well you got to remember, we don't have kids programming these, they probably have degrees in programming and there working in teams to build it, whereas most bots were developed by 1 person.

haha, i will second thiss. I don't want everyone to get there hopes up high and find out they can't do it. The team sounds confident though. I've gotten a bit excited myself.

If they can't do it though, I will keep looking for more developers. The development of the bots has already begun. Their actually learning how to play YPP at the moment. lol

I think a level of anonymity is needed on this project.

Anonymity from the OM's maybe, but why would they need to remain anonymous to the people who are actually going to buy the bots..?

According to past experiences, vague announcements of bots never become true.

@Navi lol. The OMs couldn't properly prepare for a bot release if we told them first. And they don't have the balls to go after programmers/distributors

I'm trying to be realistic here - why would they need to remain anonymous from us? Usually projects like this fall through and the people behind it are completely invisible like they never even existed. We need to actually meet the coders so that we can believe some nice releases are on the way.

And yeah OM's are lacking quite a bit in that regard, tis true. It's to our benefit though so why complain?

Just because you are trying to go cheap and outsource to sub-par coders or something, who have 0 knowledge of the game doesn't mean you will beat >:3

And you also have to keep in mind that this is a real company so they will most likely be working on 10+ contracts at a time, most worth well over the $1000 or so yours would be paying. So that means out of the 50-90 only 10 or less would be working on your project(s). Food for thought...

I'm pretty sure that it won't be. I mean Poseidon took me a little over a 1 and a half to complete and I KNOW how to play the game very well. And Pulse took well over a year to make his carp bot. Don't get me wrong you might get it done but you realistically won't be releasing that soon...

Haha like that would happen. Bot devs who aren't affiliated with a VIP section release have every right to not afford BP VIP's any form of discount.

No offense to you sageman, as this is to everyone:

Denying a VIP a discount of a minimum of $2 will result in a bot sell thread being soft deleted until they comply with BP Terms. We find you lots buyers, its' a service that you use. (We will strictly enforce this as we have every right.) Bots typically sell anywhere from $30-60 dollars. And the $2 is a minimum. Most people give more than $2 discount to vips in respect to the site. We help you, and you help our vips, its a way of giving back.

Feel free to sell your bots elsewhere if your not happy with our rules but its' been like that forever and its' a curtousy to all our fellow VIPs.

      On a side noteeeeeeeeeeeeeeee:

I did extend the dates for the developer so he could learn the game longer + have time to develop, we'll see if that helps. Honestly, all we can do is wait and see how it goes. I have the project set up in milestones/bot so not all of my funds are released if the developer fails to deliver.

In truth, it doesn't really matter what you say about the developers. I won't believe any of it until I see results, because I've been disappointed by so many people.
