What a young fury told me, don't build your fleet, build your buildings, otherwise they will shit on your fleet.
Screw this, I work hard for forever to build up everything I need and then randomly I get attacked by someone that has a ton of resources as it is. So no its not fair, people can do well while they are online, but when they comeback, surely enough they have been wiped of resources to the point were its just not fun. The fact that a person ranked 16th can be attacked by a person ranked 4th with way more fleet than is even possible with the resources you bring in at a lower level, its riddiculous. This game is way to easily dominated by anyone higher up on the list. Going back to Civ 5 or something.

It is because you are too profitable. They key to the game is being unprofitable. Send your fleet to a far out planet with your resources. Give the big guys no reason to attack you. Then when you grow big enough, give them a nice stab in the back.
Hey there buddy, I just started a few days ago.
It's far too easy to win. Just make a colony where no one will find you with a nice amount of space, and send your entire fleet there, and FS. If you're talking about me that attacked you, I started at about the same time as you, but I built up >_>

It is because you didn't even attempt to hide it. Your main planet is 1:6:4, your "hidden" planet is 3:6:4. To make it truly hidden you need to do something random like 3:124:4. It only took Tim two clicks to find your "hidden" planet.
