I've tweaked up the code to prevent spammers, scammers and advertisers from using the chat.
You won't see the chatbar unless you have a minimum of 10 posts. Hopefully this will decrease the unsolicited messages.

ye liking it also but now theirs no real direct advise for newbies, for example if he needs a hand in understanding where something is he cant exactly ask anyone, just a thought.

I don't know why chat isn't working for me but I'm wondering if you can MM a trade for me.

lol yeah i have a lot of complaints with that saying lets talk in pm and suff, i had it myself until i started using FF instead of IE, might be something to look into as i had other problems also.

Niles makes a good point with the newbies but I like that this will help prevent spammers and advertisers :-)

I think that also when we ban members we should set their post count to zero, that way they can't use the chat bar.
^ good idea. though i thought if they were banned they wouldn't be able to log in at all?

I believe they can log into the appeal ban section and such.
