You're right. Those 10 years were a waste. We should of let the terrorists take over. They obviously have better intentions then the US.

US getting involved - This option is the one where we help the country set up a democratic government, military, and everything else they need to survive as an independent nation, all while trying to fight what they are being attacked by. Yes, we want them as allies because they have valuable resources, but we are doing them a favor.

US not getting involved - This option means that the country would be in a war-state. The extremist muslim groups would obviously see value in them, just as the US does. Without opposition, these groups would completely take over the country without any opposition, because we all know that the country has shit for defense. So now the terrorists that have been harassing us have land that is very valuable to the world in general. Since there is no way in hell they are going to follow world rules, war will have to be declared. Now we are in the same war situation, except now they are the ones defending, which is an advantage.

Btw, we pulled out recently. I believe it was way too early. Let's hope we helped them enough to where they can defend themselves from the eminent threat, that is terrorism.

Also, with that newly passed bill even american citizens themselves are subject to the same treatment as "insurgents" Since you mentioned the US trying to guide someone into a democratic goverment. Seems kind of a weird way for a democratic&free country to behave.

Besides the obvious fact that no one is completely innocent. As a country, and as a people we have not declared racist hate towards another nation. Fact is, by telling us we have, you are blatantly discriminating against us. You have drawn a conclusion about why America has done what its done, and you are sticking to it regardless of facts. We know the nations we are present in have innocent citizens, thats who we want to help. We are not at war with Iraq or Afghanistan, we are at war with terrorism. We took out Sadam, he killed thousands. When the new government in Iraq could not come to an agreement with us in regards to troops, we left. We are not forcing ourselves onto anybody. I am not saying that the war on terrorisim is just, morale, or a good idea. I am simply saying that you are not telling the facts. You are blatantly lieing about America and assuming truisms which are really fallacies. Please look up information before making any statements that you assume are facts.
