Facebook is advancing their social network to further heights with Photo Sync for their massive user base.
The new update available on iOS and Android based phones will allow users to take photos from their phone which will automatically be synced to their Facebook accounts via a secret folder. This will eliminate the previous tasks of taking a photo, uploading to Facebook, and then deciding what to do with that photo.
The sync feature is in the left sidebar of both tablets and phones, and the sync button is at the bottom. Facebook is trying to create the go to place for all things photos.
Privacy advocates have little to worry about the all-syncing photo upgrade. New photos will automatically be sent to a private location in Facebook as previous mentioned. For some users of Facebook, including myself, I would rather not have all my photos from my phone synced to Facebook, even if they aren’t viewed by everyone.
A few months back, they purchased the popular Instagram mobile photo filtering app, from a San Francisco based company. Instagram at acquisition, was attracting over 30 million users.
Try the new Facebook app, available for free at the Android store, or Apple Itunes.
