Superbot Entertainment has just unveiled the first two DLC characters planned to release for their upcoming game PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. Kat from Gravity Rush on the PlayStation Vita and Emmett Graves from Starhawk are the two new additions to the roster. Each will be equipped with their own signature moveset; Graves will use Starhawk’s “built-in-battle” system, and Kat will rely a lot on aerial assault tactics.
PlayStation reports that this DLC is completely free for the first two weeks. To explain this better, I’ll put it into example. Kat and Emmett are free to download for the first two weeks, and once you download them, they’re yours to keep forever. No strings attached, but no word on what the price will be for those who don’t get to pick them up in the first two weeks. Here’s a quote if you’re still confused.
“We’re very happy to announce these first two DLC characters will be free to everyone for the first two weeks once they are available for download early next year,” Killian wrote on the PlayStation Blog. “That may sound a little tricky, so let me be clear: once Kat and Emmett are finished, we’ll put them up for download. They’ll be totally free for two weeks. The only limit is that you have a two-week window to claim the characters. Once you have Kat and Emmett, they are yours forever. That may sound like a lot to remember, so don’t worry, we’ll be back closer to their release to remind you of all these details.”
This is extremely exciting for PlayStation All-Stars fans, particularly for myself. I’ve been dying for Kat to make the cut for PlayStation All-Stars since I played Gravity Rush back in late June 2012. Kat’s gravity manipulating tricks could make for an interesting moveset that I’m sure many will have a blast using. When I saw back in September that images of Kat had been leaked for both in game and an online website, my thirst for the truth continued. Now that she’s finally released I must say I’m quite relieved. The game now has all the characters (aside from Lightning) that I wanted to make the cut. I would also like Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon, but Sony has close to no way of obtaining the rights to those characters anymore. As you probably know, Superbot Entertainment launches their signature PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale this coming Tuesday November 20th. Make sure to pick it up![PlayStation]
