Welcome back to BuyPoe community. We’re glad to have you back; as proof, here’s an article urging you to pick up a goddamn book already.
Anyway! Before we go into the gritty details, take a moment out of your day to admire this amazing video:

Wasn’t that neat? Well I thought so, which is why I’m sharing it!
Anyway, as you can tell, this is no normal replica of the famed Linking book from Myst Lore, this is an honest-to-goodness gaming PC (disguised as a book) which plays: Myst Masterpiece Edition, realMyst, Riven DVD Edition, Riven Elementary, Myst III: Exile, Myst IV: Revelation, Uru: Ages Beyond Myst and The Path of the Shell expansion, Myst V: End of Ages (and displays the E-book), The Manhole Masterpiece Edition and Crowthistle.
To get an idea of how crazy detailed this endeavor was, the maker of this device actually sought after the book used as a texture reference in the making of the game (Harper’s New Monthly Magazine, Volume LIV, Issue 312, December 1876 to May 1877) then destroyed it to convert it into the machine it is now. Furthermore, it was completely handmade and every individual component of the computer was painfully hand-selected and constructed to maximize performance but minimize heat–presumably it can even run Half-Life 2 at 30+ FPS.
If this is the kind of thing that makes you drool, you’re in luck! The book is going up for sale and if you happen to have $15,625 burning a hole in your pocket, I can’t honestly thing of a better way to get yourself acquainted with the Myst series.
